Create your own story

This activity is to improve your creativity and imagination. With only four slides, you have to invent your own story!

First of all, you should write it and then you can read it and tell it to your classmates. You will realize how many different stories we can create with the same pictures!

In this exercise, we can improve writing, speaking, reading and listening.

  1. Hi Vincent,

I've been watching your blog and I like it! I like all the activities but specially this one because the students have the opportunity to create a story, so they can develop their imagination and creation. As we know, our students need to develop their imagiantion and with your activity they can do it.

Also, this activity is really useful because you can use it with all the basic skills: reading (the students are going to read their stories to their classmates), speaking (same as reading), listening (while a student is reading the rest of the class will be listening the story) and writing (they have to write their own stories), so in my opinion this activity is really great. Also, we can do this activity more often because we only need to change the pictures.

    Kind regards,

    Virginia

  2. Hi Vicent,

I really like this activity of your blog. I like so much the stories and Fairy Tales and I think is a good way to help student to be a creative person. Maybe I would suggest you that the children be able to record explaining the scene, and after they can share it with the rest of their classmates.

But good idea for improve the speaking and also the creative thinking!

  3. Hello I like your blog, the colors and the header seem to me very successful for primary school children.
I chose this activity because it seems very original, because instead of providing the beginning of the story, you ask the students to create the story from images. It seems to me that it is a more motivating idea for elementary students and that helps them to boost their imagination.
    Congratulations.
